1.
A new day, the sunrise Painting the sky with your mercy A glimmer of hope You’ll do the same in my heart The night is over Adjust my eyes to your light Sing your song over me You’re not the same anymore Welcome to, Welcome to life Death has no claim on you Welcome to, Welcome to life It’s true, I’ve been running But every step you’ve pursued me The mystery of grace Is overwhelming me now Give me a reason To doubt the doubt in my mind Sing your song over me
2.
Broken, lonely Strangers though we are Together, seeking To know the Father’s heart We come We come Tired of clinging To my pitiful disguise Desperate to break free Let’s throw the curtains wide Out of the rotting shelters of fear Away from distractions we each hold dear Out of the slavery we’ve willed to endure Freed from the traps to which we’ve been lured
3.
Turns out that star on high it’s just a satellite transmitting hate and shame in Love’s name Turns out those ostracized for getting wrong what I got right just want to live their lives like me Turns out binary codes holy monochromes never heal only break they broke me Turns out the greater sin than all that I condemned was taking a place in the sky at God’s side I give up my throne Turns out that star on high Its just a satellite
4.
Today’s another day I come to you ashamed, naked but you can see me now this wretch that I’ve become and you love me When we forget our names will you call us loved will you call us home in our broken cries is there a trace of light to lead us home? And even after this you bless me with a kiss hold me in your arms again and I can see your face your eyes so full of grace and you whisper to me, “You are loved” Lord of life, Lord of love lead us further on to be sons and daughters of the king to your majesty we sing then and now eternally glory, glory
5.
Dirty feet, empty hands Full of hope, where I stand Passing by recycled homes Full of dreams, most unknown There is so much hurt There is so much pain The anguish I feel in my heart Never goes away Stings of guilt, so ashamed of the life I cannot repay How do I, who has so much, help the ones who need love? Amazed and awestruck by this scene yet so much left undone but God is present in this place and he is the one To take away the hurt And heal all this pain The anguish I feel in my heart Will never be the same Oh it will never be the same It will never be the same
6.
There is a light that is coming for me knocking hard on the walls of my darkest dreams He’s coming back for me There’s a lion that’s lying in wait for me but another one greater who will set me free He’s coming back for me I’ll keep running from the thief he will never take my heart Jesus come deliver me once again
7.
Running away from who I don’t want to be tell me a story I can’t conceive fear is a blinding light I need you I need you I need you and I’ll be alright Pushed you away but you fought for me I lost my way but you still see that fear is a blinding light I need you I need you I need you and I’ll be alright Fear is a blinding light I need you I need you I need you I need you So take my hand and run with me I’m headed out toward the wild (sea) (see) what lies beyond the edge of what we’ve been too afraid to be what I’ve been too afraid to see

about

This EP is an organic collection of songs from different artists in the Crosspointe community. In this project, we have experienced the fear, vulnerability, and joy in creating alongside each other. Our hope is that you will take these songs and make them your own, whether as an extension of ideas that you're already wrestling with or as a catalyst for your own creativity. Ultimately, we want this to be as much your project as it has been ours.

To learn more about the meaning behind these songs, check out the digital booklet that will download as part of the album (includes lyrics and interview material).
